Baptisms, Weddings and Services of Thanksgiving
St Pauls is a place where the most important life events are celebrated. We deem it a privilege to be with families at these times and will do our best to make every occasion a time where God’s love is known and celebrated.
BAPTISM
We welcome all enquires about Baptism. Baptism can be for people of all ages. It will important for us to know of your connection with St Pauls or your plans to make a commitment to St Pauls in the future.
WEDDINGS
To be married in St Pauls you have to have one of the qualifying connections as listed below.
List of Qualifying Connections (which you must be able to prove):
1. Usual place of residence in the parish for at least 15 days immediately before the grant of the licence.
2. On the Church Electoral Roll.
3. Usual place of residence in the parish for at least 6 months at any time in the past.
4. Habitual attendance at Church of England services in the parish for at least 6 months at any time in the past.
5. Baptised in the parish by a Church of England form of baptism.
6. Confirmed at a Church of England service and details of confirmation entered in a confirmation register belonging to a Church or Chapel in the parish.
7. A parent was married in the parish by a Church of England service.
8. A parent has had his or her usual place of residence in the parish for at least 6 months during the lifetime of one of the persons named above.
9. Habitual attendance by a parent at Church of England services in the parish for at least 6 months during the lifetime of one of the persons named above.
10. Habitual attendance by a parent at Church of England services in the parish for at least 6 months during the lifetime of one of the persons named above.
11. A grandparent was married in the parish by a Church of England service.

SERVICES OF THANKSGIVING
Celebrating the life of a loved one is of great importance. St Paul's provides a unique atmosphere and calm to hold such services where a much loved member of a family or friend or colleague can be celebrated in words and music. We will do all we can to make this occasion a fitting tribute to a loved one. We will help plan the service and also provide space for refreshments after the ceremony.
